Join us on Saturday, February 25 from 2:30--3:30pm at the Homossasa branch and create a door hanger that will make you proud as you enter your room. Enjoy snacks and play Wii and board games with your friends, too!

Little Green Thumbs

little-green-thumbsKids are invited to the Lakes Region branch on Saturday, January 28 from 10:30am - 12:00pm for Little Green Thumbs, a special workshop in partnership with the Inverness Garden Club and the Citrus County Extension Office.

This fun class gives children the opportunity to listen, learn, and participate in several activities exploring nature.

Activities include hands-on fun with "Take Me Outside," where children plant a Yaupon Tree to take home; "Who Lives in a Tree?" where children learn about animals that inhabit trees; and "Nature Crafts," where children use an assortment of plant material to spell out their name and construct a pine tree which they can paint using pine needle brushes.
