Friends are people who love books, love to read, and want to help others enjoy the pleasure of reading. Friends donate time and resources to the libraries and Friends’ organizations. Friends believe that they can make the difference between a good Library System and a great Library System. Friends of the Library work to make libraries and their community better.

Become part of a fun group that makes a real difference. You can download an application form, fill it out, and bring it into your local library today.

United Way ReadingPals Training

unitedway-logoReading aloud to young children is very important for early brain development. However, over half of parents do not read to their children. This is why the United Way is launching a new volunteer reading program right here in Citrus County! We are looking for adults 18 or over who can commit to reading to a Preschooler for 1 hour a week at a local Preschool site. If you are interested in helping young children succeed, please call us today at 795-5483 or visit our website www.citrusunitedway.org/aboutreadingpals
