Adult Literacy New Tutor Training

Make a difference in your community! Join us for a workshop to become a new volunteer adult literacy tutor. Learn proven methods to teach reading, writing, and English speaking skills to adult learners. Specific topics will include: How Adults Learn, Understanding Learning Styles, Word Recognition Strategies, Reading Comprehension and Writing Strategies, Teaching Conversational Skills to English Language Learners, and Creating Lesson Plans with Confidence. No prior teaching experience is needed. Space is limited. Patrons can register by calling Literacy Services at(352)628-5626.
