Adult Literacy: Assessment Workshop

harvest-book

Become A Literacy Evaluator!

Are you interested in getting involved in the library's Adult Literacy Education Program, but only have limited time? If so, then become an occasional Literacy Evaluator.

In this four hour assessment workshop, we’ll teach you how to complete literacy assessments on adult learners for placement purposes. Assessments are important because they give valuable insight to literacy tutors and class instructors by providing a baseline of where to start the teaching process. Time and need for Literacy Evaluators is sporadic, but actual assessments take an average of 1.5 hours. Join us and make a difference in peoples’ lives! Please register for this free workshop with Carla Heimer at 352-628-5626 X303 or Charlyn Hill at 352-795-3716.
