AARP Safe Driving Course

aarp-drivingThe AARP Smart Driver class is 6 hours over 2 days. While the class is geared towards drivers age 50 and over, all licensed drivers are welcomed in the class. There are NO tests. In Florida participants are eligible for a state-mandated, multi-year discount on their auto insurance premiums. Participants are advised to contact their insurance company for further discount details 

 Participants must pre-register with instructor Joseph Turck at 352-628-6764.

Special History Program: The Civil War on the Nature Coast 1861-1865

Join local historian, James Marshall as he explores the impact of the Civil War on the Nature Coast Region. Mr. Marshall will speak about the burning of the Yulee Plantation, bloody skirmishes on the Crystal River as well as daily life during the Civil War. Enjoy a display of period replica small arms, audiovisual maps, and photographs.
