The Discovery of Phosphate, Florida's Gold Rush

This boom in mining activity at the turn of the 20th century really shaped the history of our county. If you are interested in seeing a great presentation along with some artifacts from this fascinating time period then you had better not miss this event!

candle-shellsAdults, join us to make a Seashell Candle Ring. We will supply all the materials but feel free to bring some of your cherished seashells to incorporate into your custom ring. Surround your candle with the look of the beach to remind you of summer time. The ring is perfect for entertaining in your home and will give you your own little piece of the ocean so you can always have it near you. Classes are free but registration is required due to limited space. Register through our on-line calendar or by calling or visiting your local branch.
