Neighbor Helping Neighbor

46% of individuals expect to rely a great deal on people in their neighborhood for assistance within the first 72 hours after a disaster.

Disaster volunteersThe Retired and Senior Volunteer Program will host a training: "Neighbor Helping Neighbor." This training educates individuals from the community about simple steps to become more prepared, such as creating a disaster kit, making emergency plans, and being ready.

July 12, 2012
6:00 - 8:00pm
Sunshine Cafe, Citrus County Resource Center

2804 W. Marc Knighton Ct., Lecanto, FL 34461

The volunteers who choose to become part of the team will then go out into the community and bring this message to their neighbors.

Training is provided by James J. (Judd) Wright, President of Blue Skies Professional Services. Light refreshments provided.
