Special interpretive programs to be offered

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park will be celebrating national Public Lands Day on Saturday, September 28, 2013.

In addition to all the regular exhibits and programs, Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park will be featuring additional conservation messages at all the daily programs. Our volunteers will also have special interpretive carts out along the Wildlife Walk with opportunities to see and learn about some of our outreach animals. Rocky, the costumed manatee character will be making appearances throughout the day. The Park will also be collecting cans for recycling. We invite you to come out and enjoy this special day to celebrate National Public Lands Day. Regular park admission will apply.
