John’s passion for drawing began at an early age, for creating art was truly one of the only things he could sit and work at for any length of time. Although he had become a proficient painter, by his late twenties he chose to draw primarily with colored pencils on Canson pastel papers. Over the years this combination has produced his finest realism and truly sensitive drawings. Lately, his outdoor scenic sketches and nature studies are particularly strong. They often evoke his colorful and unusual view into our world. Land and seascapes, as well as people and animal portraits have been some of his favorite subject matter.
Join us on Tuesday, March 8th from 1 to 4 PM to meet and greet John. This is an opportunity to view John’s drawings and see him creating a work in progress.
