Friends of the Lakes Region Library

Friends of the Lakes Region Library Board of DirectorsMission Statement: The Friends of the Lakes Region Library is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization whose members share a passionate vision for a strong library system. The Friends of the Library are dedicated to expanding the resources and services of the Lakes Region Library.

Membership in the Friends of the Lakes Region Library is open to all individuals interested in promoting personal growth through the use of the library's resources.

Established in 1997, the Friends of the Lakes Region Library works to enrich the resources and facilities of the Lakes Region Library. The Friends sponsor classes and special events to further literacy and the love of books, and they hold fundraising activities to raise money for library needs not covered in the budget.

Special benefits of Friends membership include complementary mailings of the Friend-to-Friend newsletter and invitations to special programs and social events. The Annual Membership Meeting is held in January, and the Board of Directors meetings are monthly except in June, July, August, and December. New or prospective members are encouraged to attend.

Dues are paid annually, and contributions are tax deductible. There are several membership categories available:
