Tobacco Cessation Class

tobacco-cessationGulfCoast North Area Health Education Center is partnering with Citrus County Library System to provide a FREE 2-hour tobacco dependence seminar. Anyone interested in quitting tobacco can participate and will be provided with a free and optional supply of nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) including patches, gum, or lozenges. New tutor training April 18 & 19th.  

Join us for a workshop on April 18 & 19, 2013, at the Homosassa branch to become a new volunteer adult literacy tutor

Learn proven methods to teach reading, writing, and English speaking skills to adult learners. Specific topics will include: How Adults Learn, Understanding Learning Styles, Word Recognition Strategies, Reading Comprehension and Writing Strategies, Teaching Conversational Skills to English Language Learners, and Creating Lesson Plans with Confidence. No prior teaching experience is needed.
