A Home for the Holidays

Dogs & cats over 1 year old will have an adoption fee of only $20.14 throughout the month of December. Visit Citrus County Animal Shelter (Additional $5 County License fee not included. sponsored by CCFAP.net

Donations Are Always Needed & Appreciated
These are some items that are always needed: Bath towels, Hard rubber dog balls, Newspapers, Pet Shampoo, Sheets, Toys

Animal Shelter Food Donations are Now being accepted at:
Mr. Auto Insurance
720 NE Hwy. 19 in Crystal River (Across from Subway)
Monday through Friday 9 am to 5 pm

Many of our citizens report they are finding it difficult to provide food for their families and still have resources left over for their pets. If you would like to help these financially-challenged citizens feed their pets, rather than surrender them to our shelter, you may donate the following items. We will see to it that the food is distributed to our needy citizens.

Dog food (both dry and canned)
Cat food (both dry and canned)

Thanks to your kindness and support, our sheltered pets get the best care possible from our team of dedicated professionals.

 

December 12: Adopt a Tree

parks-adopt-a-treeAdopt a Tree Program December 12, 2014 Central Ridge Community Center Tree decorating from 2:00pm - 5:00pm, Tree judging at 5:15 pm, Cost for the tree is $20.00.

Let's make this Christmas special for a family in need. Citrus County. Parks & Recreation is working with Lowes Home Improvement and the Beverly Hills Craftsman Guild to get the trees ready for your team to decorate. December 12, is the date to put on your calendar to come down to the Central Ridge Community Center area to decorate your tree. We will have music, Santa & Mrs. Claus, cookies and either hot cocoa and coffee or iced tea and water provided by Parks and Recreation. The trees will be lit at 5:00 pm for the judging of 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winners. The Christmas trees will remain on display for three days and then be delivered to families in need.

Come join us for the Christmas Trees around the Old Courthouse Ceremony! (and it’s FREE!!). Presented by the Citrus County Historical Society.

WHEN: Friday, December 5,2014 @ 5:30 p.m.

WHERE: Old Courthouse, Second Floor Courtroom

Held in the courtroom on the second floor of the Old Courthouse Heritage Museum. The Citrus High School Choir under the direction of John Edel will sing Christmas songs. There will be light refreshments and Santa Claus will make an appearance. More information at www. cccourthouse.org
