Exercise Your Mind: Florida Trail Association

Join us as we learn about local trail systems during this presentation by the Florida Trail Association (FTA). The FTA develops, maintains, protects, and promotes a network of hiking trails throughout the state, including the unique Florida National Scenic Trail (FNST). They provide opportunities for the public to hike, engage in outdoor recreation, participate in environmental education, and contribute to meaningful volunteer work.

Lakes Region Friends Donate $14,500

A huge thank you to the Friends of the Lakes Region Public Library! Their group recently donated $14,500 to the Lakes Region Public Library for collection development. This means more materials for our library patrons to check out!

The Lakes Region Friends group raises money yearly through book sales, membership dues, and candy sales. The Friends work hard all year to make sure that the Lakes Region Public Library and the Citrus County Library System are strong, vital educational centers in the community.
