GED Science Test Prep

In this instructor led class, learners will take and review practice GED exams on multiple sciences, including: life science, earth science, chemistry, and physics. This class will also cover: online practice tests, how to write the GED short answer response, and exam tips. Space is limited. Learners can register by calling Literacy Services at(352)628-5626.

Pre-GED: Social Studies

Throughout the course, there is an emphasis on finding main ideas and utilizing context clues to improve reading comprehension of nonfiction texts.

Pre-registration is encouraged to ensure seat and materials availability. Basic English skills are needed. Contact the library for assistance and more information.

Citizenship Classes

This seven-week series of Citizenship Classes will teach adult learners the basic knowledge needed to pass the U.S. Naturalization Exam. Topics covered include: American history, the three branches of government, courts and the legal system, and famous Americans. The classes will also focus on speaking, reading, and writing skills. Learners will receive sample test questions and have interview practice. Space is limited. Learners can register by calling Literacy Services at(352)628-5626.



Pre-GED: Essay Writing

essaywriting-banner1Pre-GED Essay Writing - In this instructor led class, learners will review how to write an essay and work on increasing their reading comprehension. The topics covered will include: sentences, paragraphs, subject- verb agreement, and verb tenses.
