Citizenship Classes

citizenship-classesDo you dream of becoming an American citizen?

Join us at the Coastal Region branch this spring for seven weeks of classes designed to teach eligible individuals the skills they will need to pass the U.S. Citizenship exam.

We'll review test topics such as: American history, branches of government, courts and the legal system, and famous Americans.

Learners will receive sample test questions and gain interview practice. Immigration lawyer Friedrich Casutt von Batemberg will give a special presentation at the final class on May 21.

Classes are held on the following Mondays from 1:00--2:30pm:

4/9  •  4/16  •  4/23  •  4/30  •  5/7  •  5/14  •  5/21

The classes are free, but preregistration is required and basic English skills are needed. Interested learners should call 352-795-3716 to register with librarian Charlyn Hill.
